Ok i have a PRESARIO desktop computer and im running windows me. The problem is that i cannot gt my sound, I have no idea what the name of the sound card is I know there is a sound card there because i can have a place to plugin my speakers. I have tried everything. In my sound properties all the controls a greyed ot so there fore can not make any changes there. I dwnload he advisor program but it says nothing about my sound card. Im sorry I should have told you that i installed the creative sound driver because that was what we thought was the sound card was(the lady who owned the computer before us, said that was the sound card on it, but last night she called and sd that her husband had sd it was something diffrent but has no ideal what it is.
But it isnt the card. I dont know how to gt the creative to uninstall. But my card is NOT the sound card installed on here. Actually i have two sound cards on here, but cannot identify either one. I gt disc for all the stuff that came with my computer. But nothing pertaining to the speakers, all i did was plug them in and they worked, (no new hardware wizard or anything) I noticed in my device manager under my system devices i have system speakers. Is that the sound card or is that the default system speaker windows have? All i want to do is hear some sound lol, i dont want anything big just sound for playing games,etc.
